Emergency First Aid for Sports

Specifically designed for coaches, PE staff, and sports clubs, this course focuses on the types of injuries and emergencies commonly encountered in sporting environments.
It provides practical, hands-on training to ensure a confident response to incidents like sprains, fractures, head injuries, and cardiac events, while also covering core emergency first aid skills.  This course can be adapted for the age/type of clients you work with.

How long is the course?

A standard EFAW for sports qualification is 6 hours plus breaks.  We are able to offer this course in a blended format, with just 3 hours of face to face time. (this also means that two cohorts could be taught in a single day)

Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student, there is no final exam.  (during a blended EFAW for sports a further online assessment is undertaken) Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for three years and is HSE compliant. Under the current guidelines it is strongly recommended that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every twelve months.
